Certain stereotypes about different types of appearance have long been formed in the world. Thus, the Slavic type most often refers to people with a round face, fair-haired, blue-eyed, or gray-eyed. This is a very general and not always accurate description, as representatives of the Slavic nation inhabited a vast territory and were quite diverse.
Slavic type is a very conventional notion. Indeed, over the centuries evolved a certain appearance stereotype, which is now considered typical of the Slavs. In fact, given that the Slavs are not only residents of post-Soviet countries, but also the population of many other countries, such as Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Macedonia, it becomes clear that to equalize them, bringing to some standard external norms, almost impossible.
According to the data obtained in the long-term research process, there are 5 main groups of Slavs. The representatives of each of them have distinctive features of appearance and do not always resemble each other. The peculiarities of one or another group largely depend on the peoples who naturally mixed the Slavs in the process of migration.
Even from such a superficial description, it is clear that the concept of "Slavic appearance" is quite multifaceted. But still, we can try to identify common features, focusing on the most numerous group, namely Eastern European Slavs.
So, what does a typical Ukrainian, Russian or Belorussian face look like? Let's start with the shape: Slavs have round or slightly elongated skulls, and the face may be either round or approximating oval. All facial features are rather soft, as if smoothed, so the overall expression is benign.
What else can be attributed to the Slavic features:
Unlike people with an Oriental type of appearance, the skin of Slavs is mostly light, sometimes with a tendency to freckles.
As for the build, more often representatives of the Slavic peoples are people of average or slightly above average height, with large heads and fairly broad shoulders.
A characteristic feature is a predisposition to fullness, which is evenly distributed throughout the body. For Slavic girls this serves as an advantage: at a young age, they look attractive, thanks to the expressive buttocks and breasts. And as they age, by controlling their weight they can keep young and attractive for many years.
Slavs generally do not have epicanthus, a noticeable crease in the movable upper eyelid that is characteristic of the Mongoloid race. The typical features of Slavic appearance can be attributed and hair color - from light straw to russet, less often dark russet. Straight hair is much more common than slightly wavy, but strongly curly hair does not occur in any group of Slavs. A typical Slav is most often quite harmoniously shaped.
When it comes to girls of Slavic appearance, the first thing that comes to mind is the classic image of a busty blonde woman with long braided hair. This stereotype is also quite far from reality. Slavic women can be blond or dark-haired and have curvy or slender bodies. Again, if we talk in general terms, most often the representative of Ukrainian, Russian, and Belorussian types:
As many have noticed, the concept of "Slavic woman" brings to mind warmth, coziness, kindness, and gentleness, which are combined with great inner strength and diligence.
The type of Slavic beauty for centuries has been praised by poets and writers. Such women were symbols of external and spiritual beauty. Stately beauties with long red braids are the main characters of many pictures.
The Slavic type of appearance became popular with fashion designers. Even during the First World War, young noblewomen, who had left parts of the Austrian and Russian Empires and moved with their families to Europe, were easily employed in well-known fashion houses.
Professionals were attracted not only to external beauty but also to the natural grace and graceful manners of Slavic young ladies. The unsurpassed Coco Chanel preferred to work with the Slavic models more than anyone else. And modern fashion designers pay tribute to Slavic beauty. Among the most in-demand models are quite a few Slavic women.
In addition, recently, interest in Slavic style has been growing.
Designers, creating collections, are increasingly turning to original traditions that came from the depths of centuries. Original embroidery, folk ornaments, and folk costume elements are actively used by both Ukrainian and European fashion houses.
All women on Earth are beautiful and graceful. Representatives of the fairer sex of each nation have distinctive features that distinguish their appearance from other girls. Many people think that the Slavic beauties are the most attractive.
Most foreigners tend to choose a Slavic woman as a wife. Such a strong desire to share their lives with a Ukrainian or Belarusian girl is due to their natural beauty. The luxurious long hair and the attractive figure have long been conquering men with their femininity. The times change and the fashion canons, but the strong sex still appreciates in a companion the tenderness of features and natural beauty.
